Cooked banana candy

Careful - they're super hot!
Considering the abundance and cheapitude of bananas at this time of year, I've been eating at least one banana a day, and getting increasingly more creative with how I consume them. This afternoon, my sweet tooth was acting up, so I decided to make myself this snack - it's quick, easy, and delicious!

Ingredients:
-1 ripe banana (wash it, first)
-A few spoons of brown sugar

Or like, five scoops if you're me. This can be as healthy or as unhealthy as you make it!
Heat your frying pan up on the stove - I use the lowest setting, since my stove only has four - numbers 1-3 and "High". Slice off the stem of the banana, then halve it vertically. Spread the sugar on to the exposed banana. When drops of water sizzle in the pan, put the bananas sugar-side down into the pan. Oil or grease on the pan is pretty unnecessary for this.

Cook until the sugar starts to bubble and carmelize, sort of along the lines of this:

I usually leave them in until all the sugar is carmelized and the edges of the peel are starting to brown, but it depends on how well-done you like your bananas. Scoop the bananas out of the pan and on to a plate, then scrape the excess sugar in the pan on top of the bananas. Stick the pan immediately in the sink with some water in it, because the sugar sticks like anything if you don't.

Let the bananas cool! This is very important, since the sugar gets incredibly hot and STAYS incredibly hot for like, several minutes on the plate. Then, use a spoon to scoop the yummy cooked banana out of the peel - enjoy!
